This graph is a theoretical prediction of the acoustic response of the
flute. Roughly speaking, it is a measure of how hard it is to make the
flute resonate at any given frequency. The flute will play at most of the
minima on this curve, provided that the minimum is deep enough and that the
neighbouring minima are not too deep or too close.
